lesson

~ a more advanced counting system

don't feel like the main counting system is good enough, huh?

that's okay. i'll give you the forbidden knowledge of a more advanced counting system.

(but be aware that this is not intended to be used very much. in most cases, vague amounts will also get the message across.)

this counting system uses 5 words:

󱥳 wan - one
󱥮 tu - two
󱤭 luka - five
󱤼 mute - twenty
󱤄 ale - one hundred

this counting system is additive, meaning you chain together the words to create bigger numbers

luka luka tu

~ five + five + two

= 12

ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale mute tu

~ 2022

as you can see, it's still not very convenient for big numbers - this is the point!

exercises

translate each of these numbers into the more advanced counting system:

102

ale tu

1024

ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale ale mute tu tu

53

mute mute luka luka tu wan

420

ale ale ale ale mute
